Sewing, cooking, gardening… all normal hobbies, right? For Mrs. B and her husband, hunting wild beasts in South Africa and fishing on the Amazon was more their style.
With three hunting and fishing trips booked in the next three months, a stroke was the last thing Mrs. B expected. The independent, active, and fun-loving “huntress” rolled through the doors of HealthSouth in a wheelchair with one side of her body having a mind of its own. “I need to be able to navigate DFW Airport in 3 months,” was her response when asked what her goal was. And so the work began.
With her goal in sight, Mrs. B worked day and night to build life back in to her right hand and leg. It was because of her strong will and determination that within two weeks Mrs. B walked out of HealthSouth, waved goodbye with her right hand, and promised to send pictures from her next big adventure.
